Courses 2010-2011

During the 2011-2012academic year, the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Bucharest offers 234 courses, with a total value of 1248 ECTS.

At BA level, it offers 164 courses - 57 in English, 47 in French and 60 in Romanian, with a total value of 728 ECTS. At MA level, it offers 60 courses and research seminars - 22 in English and 38 in Romanian, with a total value of 360 ECTS. The PhD program is currently taught only in Romanian.

All courses, except the thesis research seminars, are available to international exchange students.

The number and distribution of available credits for international exchange students (1077 ECTS) is the following:
  • 364 ECTS for courses in English (242 ECTS at BA level and 122 ECTS at MA level)
  • 192 ECTS for courses in French (currently all at BA level)
  • 511 ECTS for courses in Romanian (259 ECTS at BA level, 214 ECTS at MA level and 48 ECTS for doctoral studies)

BA level coursework (in English, French or Romanian)
  • Academic content courses: 4 or 5 ECTS (available to all students)
  • Skills and professional development: 1 or 2 ECTS (available to all students)
  • BA thesis research seminars: 5 ECTS (available only for FSPUB students enrolled under the thesis supervision of a FSPUB professor)
MA level coursework (in English or Romanian)
  • Academic content courses: 7 ECTS (available to all students)
  • MA thesis research seminars: 2 ECTS (available only for FSPUB students enrolled under the thesis supervision of a FSPUB professor)
PhD level coursework (in Romanian)
  • Academic content courses: 12 ECTS (available to all students)
  • PhD thesis research methods seminars: 6 ECTS (available only for FSPUB students enrolled under the thesis supervision of a FSPUB professor)
  • PhD thesis research seminars: 30 ECTS (available only for FSPUB students enrolled under the thesis supervision of a FSPUB professor)
All ECTS courses available to international exchange students are marked with a green code, all skills and professional development courses are marked with a yellow code and all courses available exclusively for FSPUB students enrolled under the supervision of a FSPUB professor are marked red.
